I have been a Green party member for nearly twenty years, and served for a number of years as Treasurer on the national executive. I joined the Greens because of their commitment to the common good and that the best ideas and decisions come from local people working in their communities.
As a retired water industry consultant, my particular concern is the degradation of flood resilience in this city over the years in the face of climate change. Unless more imaginative and radical steps are taken by the council, Bath and Venice may find themselves having more than World Heritage Status in common.
