Martin Phillips - Bathavon South

Originally from a small mining community in South Wales, I have been living in the Bath area for over 20 years.

I had a career in international sales and marketing for many years but made a huge change at the beginning of 2009 and now I am a psychotherapist with a private practice on Gay Street in the centre of the city.

I live in the lovely village of Shoscombe near Peasedown St. John with my wife Tricia who is a novelist and writer - together with a number of other Shoscombe residents, Tricia established the Shoscombe Climate and Nature Group which has been doing great work in the village proving that when a small number of people take action great things can be achieved.

I joined the Green Party because I felt - and still feel - they are the only party putting at the forefront of political discussion those policies that tackle the challenges that are of most importance to our communities and the planet.
