Having worked in organic agriculture, horticulture and now writing and teaching, I've come up against the real world implications of climate change.
I'm standing for the Green Party as I believe that our lives and future are closely linked to the health and vitality of the natural world. There are no simple solutions, but if we hold the Green Party's principles of sustainability, social and economic justice, and care and stewardship of our natural resources close to our hearts, I believe that we can move towards a safer and happier environment.
Electing Green Party councillors ensures that decisions made at the local level are made with these principles in mind.
