6 December 2021
Meet our candidate for the Keynsham Town Council by-election on Thursday 9th December, Edmund Cannon.
Edmund says:
"My wife and I moved to Keynsham over twenty years ago when I got a job at the University of Bristol and we have liked the place so much that we are still here! I am a professor of Economics and enjoy teaching young people; at the other end of the age scale, my research interests include how to provide secure pension income for the elderly, a topic on which I have advised the UK government.
As a town councillor I should like to contribute to the transition that Keynsham will have to make as we all move to a more environmentally-friendly way of living. I am particularly interested in protecting the business community on the High Street, who have suffered unnecessarily from the poor execution of the ongoing road works. Keynsham deserves to get much more competent delivery of this sort of project than we are getting at the moment."
Good luck, Edmund!
If you live in Keynsham be sure to use your vote this Thursday.
