It's Time for a More Prosperous, Greener Bath

Vote green 2017

The government has announced a snap General Election will be called on June 8th.

The Green Party accepts the result of the referendum, but rejects the extreme Brexit pursued by the Government.  The Party has stated that people need to see the deal on the table, and to have a 2nd Referendum based on that deal.

“The Green Party is the only effective and united opposition to the Government’s destructive policies.  As the Green Party candidate for Bath, I am going to push for a better future for Bath in which everyone feels supported. This snap General Election is the perfect time for Bath to put people first, and vote for a more prosperous future.”

“This government and Conservative MP Ben Howlett have shown complete disregard for Bath and the country as a whole. They have stripped away our public services and moved to privatise our NHS. They have gambled with our future, and thrown away our long standing relationship with our EU partners. They have voted to increase tuition fees and failed students at every turn. They have scrapped vital aid to disabled people and people trying to get into work. They've put profit before the planet, stripping away investment in renewable energy and invested in expensive nuclear power. They have demonised migrants fleeing war-torn areas and fostered an air of fear in this country.”

“Enough is enough. Bath is tired of a government that doesn't invest in people. We have a chance to show that Bath cares about our public infrastructure and a better future. The Green Party stands up for public services, the environment and has always put people first.”

“On June 8th we have a chance to vote for a better future. It is time to vote brave and vote Green.”
